Location: Skinner Hall, Room 223 Sign up for an audition by filling out the Piano Audition Google Form. The form will open on Monday, August 24, 2026. At the audition, please be prepared to discuss your musical background and reasons for wishing to study the piano. If you have prior experience, please prepare 3–5 minutes of music to present. If you are a beginner, your audition will consist of an interview. For questions about piano lessons, please attend the Piano at Vassar info session on Monday, September 1, at 11:00 a.m. (see above) or contact Thomas Sauer.

Location: Martel Recital Hall, Skinner Hall of Music All are welcome to participate in the Convocation Choir rehearsals in preparation for Convocation on Wednesday, September 2 at 3:30 p.m. Students auditioning for the Choirs are especially encouraged to join us! Location: Martel Recital Hall, Skinner Hall of Music (At this meeting you will sign up for an audition time.) The Vassar College Jazz Ensemble is a twenty-plus-member big band of student musicians playing saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, guitar, and drums; vocalists are featured as well. It performs literature ranging from the Big Band Era to contemporary compositions and arrangements. The Jazz Combo program offers students the opportunity to play in smaller ensembles with a strong focus on jazz improvisation. For questions, please contact James Osborn.
